About
Since september 2001, I am associate professor (section 61 of the CNU) at the Université Claude Bernard Lyon1 , teaching for the GEP department, doing research for the LAGEP (UMR 5007 of the CNRS).
I have a background in electrical engineering. Since my PhD thesis, I am worlking on process control in chemical engineering. Through a multidisciplinary approach, I develop and apply theoretical tools of process control on real cases in chemical engineering: painting drying, polymer curing, destruction of VOC by catalysis reactor, pulp digester, painting curing, polymerization reactor, pasta drying … Fundamentally, I am interested in the developments and in the applications of model based process control tools, especially model predictive control, and of software (MPC@CB for example), linked with real problems in chemical engineering, especially with heat and mass transfer problems. This is based on various theories, from the simulation to the real time application of the control law on the real process.
